The Hilltop @ 15074: Cozy Rochester Restaurant Serving Fresh Salads, Sandwiches & Bar Classics

Cozy place. Food was great. Good menu. The grilled cheese bites and cheeseburger soup was great! Salad was really good too.

We sat at the bar. Very very nice! Our bartender was Ty she was so nice and very attentive she also made the best espresso martini. We also ate dinner , the house chips with hilltop sauce were delicious. The French dip sandwich was great. And their salads are very fresh! Everything was awesome. This was our first visit since new owners and we will definitely be back!

Was very excited to hear this gem was opening again! Just had lunch and our server Saharra was wonderful! The calamari was delicious, but it wasn't served with a lemon. So we used a drink lemon. The steak salad was good but oddly.... you dont get tomato, onion or cucumber unless you get the "deluxe" which seems silly because those are very basic vegetables.... it was also a $2 upcharge. The shaved ribeye was okay. They also dont have their liquor license yet, but she did tell us it was approved and they may be selling alcohol in a week or 2.

So happy to see an investment in my home town. Went there for lunch with my sister and niece. Got the wing dings and seriously sparked a core memory of going there with my mom. Beyond the memories, the food was amazing, my family loved theirs as much as I did mine. Customer services was outstanding in a world where customer service is slowly dying. I can't wait to go back with my husband.

Being a Rochester native, I was very excited to try Hilltop. I have such fond memories of eating the delicious steak salads. and socializing with friends. This visit did not disappoint !!!! The steak salad was absolutely delicious….. just as I remembered The service was excellent. The bar area is beautifully appointed and welcoming. I am not sure what is going on with the decor on the restaurant side. Two large frames with what appears to be concrete. I think that this would be a great space to pay homage to Rochester and put black and white historical memorabilia / news clippings and photos in the space to honor the wonderful community of Rochester. So I have returned at least 1/2 dozen times since my review. Food still does not disappoint however the dining room remains unfinished and leaves a lot to be desired. Myself along with the 6 people in my party will only sit on the bar side as it is very welcoming. I am attaching a photo of an idea for the wall.

Heard so much about this restaurant from people who are originally from here and couldn’t wait to try it. We came in hungry and we left impressed. The steak salad lived up to all the expectations that I had. The steak was tender, juicy cooked exactly how I like it. I like the chunks of cheese and the ranch dressing was delicious. Our server was so friendly and our drinks were never empty. We’ll definitely be back.

Normally good but Steak salad didn't have cheese or egg or pepperoni as per menu

Great to see they reopened. 1st time visiting, wife and I both thought our food was excellent. We will definitely go back!
